Why We Do What We Do

Women of Diversity Ministries in Bossier City, LA works from personal experience

Brenda Hill, founder of Women of Diversity Ministries, and Jeannie Herman, our assistant executive director, have firsthand experience with incarceration and sexual abuse. Brenda was raised in poverty and decided that she did not want to end up continuing that cycle. They were determined to make a change for themselves and spread that change out into the Bossier City community.

If you have been to prison, were involved in prostitution or were addicted to drugs, you should know that you don’t have to go back to your former life.

Our mission is to change lives from the inside out. Get in touch with us today to discover the difference a faith-based re-entry program can make for you.

We want to break the cycle of poverty and related issues

The cycle of poverty is hard to escape from. It can lead to addictions and other negative behaviors. The cycle works like this:

  • Children who grew up in poverty suffer a disadvantage in the job market
  • Unable to find a good job, they continue to live in poverty
  • Another generation is born into poverty

Join our job readiness and rehabilitation programs to break that cycle and allow you and your children to live a better life.
